Dr. Janet Rueger is a licensed Chiropractor, and is a Certified Practitioner in BodyTalk, Cranial Facial Release and Craniopathy, serving the Ashland community.

Dr. Rueger has been helping people to regain their health and to find and release sources of pain for over 30 years.   She uses a “whole person approach”. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time).  Her approach includes her many years of experience with Mind-Body studies.

Shortly after graduating from chiropractic college, Dr. Rueger realized that to give her patients the best care possible, she needed to expand her knowledge and abilities beyond the excellent training she received from her college.  Since that time she has attended over 2000 hours of post-graduate chiropractic training and she has been on a constant quest to find ways for her patients to overcome their health challenges.

As a Chiropractor, Dr. Rueger has learned that often a very gentle approach accomplishes more relief than does a forceful approach.  She uses the most gentle modern and ancient techniques possible to help her patients.

When you consult Dr. Rueger with low back pain, she does not only examine your low back; she will look at how you stand and she will look at your feet and ankles and at your knees and hips to ascertain if they are causing your low back issues.  Additionally she will check your neck and your TMJ, because at times a low back pain may not clear without addressing the neck, cranium, TMJ, feet, ankles or hips.

If you consult with neck pain, do not be surprised to find Dr. Rueger examining not only your neck but also your TMJ, low back, hips, feet, ankles, knees, again, to ascertain if they are causing your neck problem or contributing to it.

In the mid 1980’s, Dr. Rueger began studying and then helping her patients to release emotional issues that affect their spinal and overall physical health.  She is deeply aware of the connections between the mind and the body and her clients state that she is skilled at compassionately assisting them with difficult issues.  One could say she is one of the pioneers in MInd-Body disciplines.

Dr. Rueger is committed to promoting optimal health and well being of  her patients and prides herself on “going the extra mile” to rule out causes that may not be at first apparent.

Using this unique approach, Dr. Rueger is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.

Dr. Rueger discovered BodyTalk in 2002.  After listening to Dr. Veltheim speak, she knew she  had to learn the system.  She states:  “The BodyTalk system gives me an effective way of utilizing the many different systems I have studied over the years.  It puts all of those systems into one very finely tuned system, allowing me to utilize all of my training to help my clients.  Utilizing the BodyTalk system allows my clients’ bodies’ innate wisdom to guide me to the highest priorities needing to be balanced.”  “Each BodyTalk session is truly unique and tailored to what my client needs at that time.”

Dr. Rueger has been involved in the evolvement of BodyTalk, as it has grown as a profession.

Dr. Rueger was fortunate to begin studying BodyTalk when Dr. John Veltheim,  the founder of the system, was still teaching the Advanced Modules.  She took took Modules 3, 6, 9 and Right Brain with Dr. Veltheim (the courses have since been renamed).  Due to the depth and complexity of the courses, she has repeated ALL of the Advanced Modules.  She found doing that helped to hone her skills, basically she feels her sessions have gone deeper each time she repeated a course and gained a deeper understanding of the work.    She took and successfully passed the  6 hour examination for Certification as an Advanced BodyTalk practitioner.
